Greencastle -- Mrs. REBECCA BATMAN, 74 years old, of Roachdale is dead.

Roachdale, Nov 20 – Mrs. Rebecca K. Batman, age 76 is in a critical condition as a result of a paralytic stroke which came upon her this morning. She was left alone for a short time and was found unconscious in which condition she has remained. For several weeks Mrs. Batman has shown symptoms of an approaching stroke and had been receiving constant attention. Mrs. Batman is the wife of Woods Batman. She is an aunt of Dr. WF Batman of Crawfordsville and sister of the late James Wright of Crawfordsville.
